Specialty Care

Care that goes beyond a treatment list.

Specific medical, hormonal, and gender-affirming care needs are a routine and meaningful part of the practice at Willow, not an exception.

Gender-affirming care

Facial feminization, full body, and gender-affirming care. Documentation provided for medical referrals where applicable. Willow does not currently accept insurance, but hopes to in time. Please reach out about your specific situation.

PCOS & hormonal hair

Persistent hair from PCOS, perimenopause, or hormone changes responds especially well to electrolysis. Plans are paced realistically and adjusted as your hormones shift.

Ingrown hair correction

Chronic ingrowns clear permanently when the follicle is removed. Common requests include neck, bikini, and underarm areas where shaving leaves trouble behind.

Light, fine & grey hair

Hair that laser cannot treat (blonde, red, grey, fine) is removed permanently with electrolysis. This is often the work that makes the biggest difference.

Trauma-informed sessions

Sessions can be paced, structured, and adjusted to whatever helps you feel safe. Touch, position, and conversation are all yours to direct.

Post-laser clean-up

If laser left fine, grey, or scattered hair behind, electrolysis finishes the job permanently. A common second-stage treatment for clients seeking a complete result.

Your First Visit

What to expect, step by step.

i.
The consultation
Free and relaxed. A conversation about your goals, a look at the area, and a small test patch where a few minutes of electrolysis is performed. The test patch lets you feel what the work is like before committing to longer sessions, lets Chloe dial in the right settings for your skin and hair, and gives both of you a chance to observe how your skin responds over the following days. We'll map out a realistic timeline together. No pressure to book the same day.
ii.
Your first session
Sessions are typically 30, 45, or 60 minutes. For sensitive areas, topical numbing cream is available for purchase and applied at home before you come in. You're more than welcome to bring AirPods and an audiobook, podcast, or playlist. Many clients settle in best that way.
iii.
Between visits
A short aftercare routine. Mild redness for a few hours is normal. Most clients return to regular activities the same day.
iv.
Across your plan
Most clients plan to come regularly for 18 to 24 months to clear an area permanently. Hair grows in cycles, and treating actively-growing hairs is the priority. We review progress regularly and pace sessions to your skin, your schedule, and your budget.
